  • Are cold brew coffee beans different?
Cold brew can be made with any type of coffee bean, although some are better suited than others. Medium or dark roast are ideal and light roast is not recommended, however the most important factor when making cold brew is to always use a coarse grind. Choosing your favourite beans for cold brew is subjective and personal preference, so try experimenting with a few different types until you find the one that's best for you. Chill cold brew is made with organic Colombian coffee beans, which create a rich, full bodied and smooth cold brew.
  • Why cold brew coffee?
Cold brew coffee is made in a completely different way compared to hot coffee or iced coffee. Cold brew is brewed for much longer (ideally at least 12 hours) using water at room temperature or colder. This slow and gentle brewing process allows flavours and aromas from the beans to slow extract without being damaged by high temperatures. This creates a delicious coffee with no bitterness or acidity and much more complex and delicate flavours.
  • How is cold brew coffee made?
Cold brew coffee is made using water at room temperature or colder, with coarse ground coffee brewed for at least 12 hours. Cold brew can be made at home using a French press or muslin/cheese cloth.
